The Law was supplemented with Article 6.1, which stipulates that payment and receipt of payment for the alienation of a crypto asset or the acquisition of ownership over it on any other ground shall be carried out in a non-cash form, regardless of the amount of money subject to payment.
The Law enters into force on January 1, 2026.
Moreover, crypto regulations continue to actively find their place in the RA legislation; an article has been added to the Civil Code, according to which it is prohibited to transfer any other good (property) that is not a crypto asset in exchange for a crypto asset under a barter (exchange) contract. A contract concluded in violation of the requirement of this clause is void.
